Abstract

AISI 1345 is a through-hardening, low-manganese alloy steel with intermediate hardenability. It is used where good strength is needed but low-to-medium toughness is sufficient. Applications include many parts for machines and tools. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SA-318. Producer or source: Alloy steel mills and foundries.
