Abstract

SAE 50B46 is a low-chromium alloy steel with boron added to increase its hardenability substantially. It is used a number of machinery and tool applications where its medium hardenability and strength meet the requirements. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SA-302. Producer or source: Alloy steel mills and foundries.
