Abstract

BERYLCO Alloy 42C is a modification of BERYLCO Alloy 41C (Alloy Digest Ni-251, November 1977). Alloy 42C is a highly castable, air-melting, nickel-base alloy that can be precipitation hardened (aged) to high strength and hardness. It is a stainless alloy and exhibits excellent resistance to wear, corrosion and oxidation. The applications for Berylco Alloy 42C include cast-to-shape jewelry, surgical instruments, valves, pumps and dental alloys. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion and wear resistance as well as casting, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: Ni-279. Producer or source: Cabot Corporation.
