Abstract

ALLOY 52 is a controlled-expansion alloy developed for glass-to-metal seals for some of the soft glasses and some ceramics. Its rate of expansion is almost constant up to approximately 1050 F (565 C). This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Ni-226. Producer or source: Magnetics Specialty Metals Division.
