Abstract

Hipernom is a high nickel-iron alloy that is magnetically soft and has high minimum and maximum magnetic permeabilities. It is used in many applications including shielding, saturable reactors, transformers, and relays. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Ni-133. Producer or source: Carpenter. Originally published as Hipernom, May 1968, revised December 1997.
