Abstract

MUELLER Alloy 3470 (formerly MBCo. Alloy 312) is a wrought medium-leaded brass alloy intended for screw-machine applications where excellent thread-rolling, knurling and cold-forming properties are required. It is characterized by an excellent combination of free-machining and cold-working properties. Typical applications include valve stems, threaded connectors and flare fittings. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-393. Producer or source: Mueller Brass Company.
