Abstract

ALUMINUM 707.0 is an aluminum-base foundry alloy that can be hardened by aging at room temperature without a solution treatment. It offers good strength in the cast-and-aged condition. It has relatively good castability, excellent machinability and high resistance to corrosion. Its many uses include aircraft and aerospace components, gears, machinery parts, manifolds, valves and fittings. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Al-260. Producer or source: Various aluminum companies.
