Abstract

ALUMINUM 514.0 is a non-heat-treatable alloy containing nominally 4% magnesium. It has relatively low strength and hardness. It is characterized by excellent weldability and excellent resistance to corrosion. Aluminum 514.0 is recommended for food-processing equipment and marine applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Al-236. Producer or source: Various aluminum companies.
