AIRQUE is an intermediate chromium-molybdenum air-hardening die steel which finds its best application in intricate dies where difficulty in distortion and cracking is encountered with the usual oil-hardening types of tool steels. It is classed as type A-2 tool steel. This datasheet provides information on composition, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive and bend strength as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: TS-24. Producer or source: Continental Copper & Steel Industries Inc..
