Abstract
8620, 8620H, 8620RH, 20NiCrMo2-2, 20NiCrMoS2-2, SNCM220, and SNCM220H are wrought, low-carbon, nickel-chromium-molybdenum, low alloy steels that are typically used in the carburized or carbonitrided, and subsequently quench hardened, and tempered condition. In general, these steels are intended for the manufacture of small- and medium-sized case-hardened parts that require a high hardness, high carbon, martensitic case with good wear and fatigue resistance, and a strong and tough low-carbon steel core. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on high temperature performance as well as forming and heat treating. Filing Code: SA-879. Producer or source: Heat Treater’s Guide Data Sheet.
