Ovako 42CrMo4 is a quench and tempered steel with high strength and good toughness. The Cromax family consists of hard chrome-plated long product in the form of bars and tubes. These products are available in different steel grades with executions in a broad range of sizes. (See also Ovako 42CrMo4, Alloy Digest SA-573, September 2007.) This datasheet provides information on composition, hardness, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness.
