XAR 450 is a wear-resistant structural steel. It is delivered as heavy plate 3–100 mm (0.118–3.937 in.) in the quenched or quenched and tempered condition with a room temperature hardness between 420 and 480 HBW. This datasheet provides information on composition and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, and joining.
