ATI 436S is a ferritic stainless steel stabilized with titanium. It is superior to ATI Type 409 and 430 in general and pitting corrosion resistance. The ATI 436S alloy exhibits machining, welding, and forming characteristics similar to those of other stabilized, ferritic stainless steels. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-1139. Producer or source: Allegheny Ludlum.
