Abstract
Ovako 42CrMo4 is a quenched-and-tempered steel with high strength and good toughness. The alloy is also available with increased sulfur content to improve machinability. This datasheet provides information on composition, hardness, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, and joining.
