Weldural is a mold alloy for applications in the low-pressure molding of rubber and other elastomers at temperatures in the 175 to 205 deg C (350 to 400 deg F) range. These applications need a mold alloy with moderate strength and good property retention at moderately elevated temperatures. Alloys for mold applications are based on the 2xxx series aluminum alloys. This alloy is similar to 2219. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties.
