Abstract
Alloy 740 is a precipitation-hardenable Ni-Cr-Co alloy containing molybdenum and niobium. The primary application for the alloy is boiler tubes for the European advanced electricity generation program (Thermie). This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Ni-613. Producer or source: Special Metals Corporation.
