Outokumpu 260 is commonly called cartridge brass, 70-30 brass, spinning brass, or spring brass. It is the most commonly used copper alloy and has a good combination of properties for forming plus a favorable cost comparison to other alloys. The alloy is often used in architectural, electrical, hardware, munitions, and plumbing applications.
