Abstract
Carlson alloys 317L, 317L 4, and 317L 4N are a family of superior corrosion-resistant austenitic stainless steels for service in severe envi-ronments. They maintain tensile and creep-rupture strength at elevated temperatures and are resistant to intergranular attack. These alloys are widely used in air-pollution control systems, pulp and paper plants, and chemical and petrochemical processing equipment. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: SS-846. Producer or source: G.O. Carlson Inc.
