CARPENTER STAINLESS No. 2 is a high carbon heat-treatable chromium stainless steel equivalent to AISI Type 420; while No. 2-FM is the free-machining modification equivalent to AISI Type 420-F. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and fatigue.
