U.S.S. 18-8 Ti is an austenitic chromium nickel steel containing titanium. It is recommended for parts fabricated by welding which cannot be subsequently annealed. It is also recommended for parts to be used at temperatures between 800 and 1650 deg. F. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness, creep, and fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SS-43.
