NITRALLOY 225 is a special alloy steel which can be nitrided, that is, surface hardened, without final quenching, by the action of ammonia gas at relatively low temperatures. It is used for pump shafts, bearing bushings, connecting rods, press rolls, steam valves, sreel stamping dies. and hot work and wire drawing dies. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties.
