Abstract

RAM 303 is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel to which elements such as sulfur have been added to improve machinability and nonseizing characteristics. The steel is the most readily machinable of all austenitic chromium-nickel grades and is suitable for automatic screw machines. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-800. Producer or source: Rolled Alloys Inc.
