Abstract
Nirosta 4550 contains an addition of niobium, which produces a stabilized type of stainless steel with protection from the chromium carbide precipitates that cause intergranular corrosion. The alloy is recommended for welded parts that cannot be annealed after welding. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: SS-791. Producer or source: ThyssenKrupp Nirosta.
