J and L type 201 stainless steel is an austenitic alloy with approximately 6.5% manganese. The nickel and chromium contents are lower than typical to allow more work hardening and to obtain high tensile strengths with excellent ductility. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties.
