Avesta Sheffield SAF 2304 is an austenitic/ferritic duplex stainless steel with high tensile strength, impact toughness with good workability and weldability. The alloy has high resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking and good resistance to pitting, crevice, and general corrosion. It has higher thermal conductivity and a lower coefficient of thermal expansion than austenitic stainless steel. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness.
