Abstract
MARINEL alloy is a very high strength cupronickel exhibiting immunity to hydrogen embrittlement. It is a wrought precipitation hardened alloy containing about 18% nickel and 5% manganese, strengthened by additions of aluminum, iron, chromium, and niobium, and has been developed to provide a corrosion resistant high strength bolting material for the most severe duties in offshore environments and on naval vessels. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, machining, and joining. Filing Code: CU-602. Producer or source: Langley Alloys Ltd.
