TYPE HX is a nickel-base austenitic casting, similar to HW (See Alloy Digest Ni-449, April 1994), but containing more nickel and chromium, thus having better oxidation resistance. It is used in applications up to 1150 C (2100 F). This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as machining and joining. Filing Code: Ni-454. Producer or source: Steel Founders Society.
