DURALCAN F3K.xxS is a heat-treatable aluminum alloy-matrix gravity composite, where xx represents the volume percent of particulate. The base alloy is similar to 339, while the composite is silicon carbide. The metal-matrix composite is designed for use at elevated temperature.
