Thyroplast 2083 and 2083 SUPRA ESR steels are double tempered after a vacuum hardening treatment to develop a high hardness with excellent toughness. Vacuum degassing and ESR remelting assure superior cleanliness. High strength to 300 KSI is attainable. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and hardness as well as fracture toughness.
