ULTEM 4001 is an unreinforced polyetherimide resin with an internal lubricant. It is wear resistant and it has a reduced coefficient of friction. See also ULTEM 4000 (Alloy Digest CP-21, March 1992) for reinforced resin properties. ULTEM 4001 is available in opaque colors only. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as fracture toughness.
