ZAMAK 2 is the strongest and hardest of the four Zamak alloys. While generally produced by die casting, ZAMAK 2 is occasionally gravity cast. It is not a widely used alloy. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive and shear strength as well as fracture toughness and fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Zn-51. Producer or source: Noranda Sales Corporation.
