Carpenter Micro-Melt Speed-Star FM HiC M-2 alloy is a molybdenum tungsten high-speed tool steel produced by powder metallurgy techniques. It has a more uniform structure than conventionally produced high-speed steels. It has good response to heat treatment, grinds easily, possesses improved wear resistance and toughness. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and compressive strength as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on heat treating.
