Abstract
ALLEGHENY METAL 25-20B is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel with the highest oxidation resistance of any of the chromium-nickel steels. It has been developed from AISI 310 by raising the silicon content in order to improve the resistance to oxidation and the resistance to carburization. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-30.
