JS Alloy 2205 has a microstructure of approximately 50% austenite and 50% ferrite. This duplex structure provides excellent stress-corrosion cracking resistance in chloride and hydrogen sulfide environments. The alloy has about twice the yield strength of standard austenitic stainless steels. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-503. Producer or source: Jessop Steel Company.
