Abstract
RMI 5A1-2.5Sn is an alpha titanium alloy. It is not hardenable by heat treatment. The relatively high aluminum content gives the alloy good strength characteristics and resistance to elevated-temperature oxidation (up to 1100 F). RMI 5A1-2.5Sn is readily weldable. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and bend strength as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Ti-90. Producer or source: RMI Company.
