Abstract
ARMCO A-286 is a precipitation-hardening austenitic Ni-Cr-Ti-Mo iron-base alloy that is especially useful for applications requiring high strength and oxidation resistance up to 1300 F (704 C). It has excellent notch-ductility. Its low magnetic permeability makes A-286 valuable where high strength, nonmagnetic and corrosion-resisting characteristics are desired. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as creep and fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-493.
