Abstract

Copper Alloy No. C94500 is a cast bronze containing nominally 73% copper, 20% lead and 7% tin. It has excellent machinability, good casting characteristics, low strength and good resistance to corrosion. It is used for bearings, locomotive wearing parts and for corrosion-resistant castings. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive and shear strength as well as fracture toughness and fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-528. Producer or source: Copper alloy foundries.
