AL TECH STAINLESS TYPE 431 is a nickel-bearing martensitic stainless steel. Its high chromium content permits service in the annealed condition to 1500 F. It develops superior mechanical properties in the quenched-and-tempered condition. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness.
