Abstract
ALUMINUM 513.0 is an aluminum-magnesium-zinc permanent-mold casting alloy. It cannot be hardened nor strengthened by any thermal treatment and is characterized by moderate strength and ductility. It is recommended for such applications as chemical-plant equipment, food handling and marine hardware. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Al-265. Producer or source: Various aluminum companies.
