Abstract
ALLEGHENY LUDLUM AL 29-4-2 alloy is a high-purity ferritic stainless steel designated to provide superior resistance to corrosion by aggressive environments. It also offers fabrication characteristics that (along with E-BRITE Alloy) are unique among highly alloyed ferritic materials. The combination of properties available in AL 29-4-2 alloy makes it an attractive, cost-effective alternative to titanium, high-nickel and nickel-base alloys for many harsh environments. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness.
