INCONEL Filler Metal 617 is a nickel-base alloy suitable for welding a number of alloys. It is used for the gas tungsten-arc (TIG) and gas metal-arc (MIG) welding of INCONEL alloy 617. For extended service at temperatures above 1700 F (925 C), it is recommended for welding INCOLOY alloy 800H and 802. It also is recommended for welding a number of cast alloys. This datasheet provides information on composition and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Ni-302.
