Abstract

JESSOP SUPERSHOCK 7 is an air-hardening shock steel having excellent toughness combined with good resistance to softening at temperatures up to 1000 F. It is suitable for both hot and cold-work tooling applications that involve shock. Among its typical applications are dies, shear blades, chisels and punches. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: TS-422.
