CARPENTER STAINLESS TYPE 430F is a free-cutting steel and is recommended for faster cutting and lower costs when making machined articles from a stainless steel containing 14-18% chromium. It is used in automatic screw machines for parts that require good resistance to corrosion. Examples of such parts are aircraft components and gears. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties.
