Abstract
Copper Alloy C84800 is a copper-tin-lead-zinc alloy. It was identified formerly as 76-21/2-61/2-15 alloy for Leaded Semi-Red Brass. It has good casting properties, free-cutting characteristics, moderate strength and ductility and good resistance to corrosion. Its applications include plumbing fixtures, faucets and general hardware. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-457. Producer or source: Copper alloy foundries.
