Abstract
ANACONDA Alloy 230 is a single-phase brass containing nominally 85% copper and 15% zinc. It is the most widely used of the low-zinc brasses. It has excellent resistance to dezincification and season cracking. Generally it is considered to be the most durable of all alloys for commercial water pipe in the practical price range. Other uses include architectural components, electrical conduit, paper rolls, razor handles and costume jewelry. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-455. Producer or source: Anaconda American Brass Company.
