PRESTO is a high-carbon tool steel containing 1.40% chromium and is moderately deep hardening. It is made to tool-steel-quality standards and was developed to meet the exacting demands of bearing manufacturers for a clean steel of uniform microstructure. It is used in a wide range of bearing applications including high-performance aircraft bearings and other high-load applications where high-quality steel is required. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity.
