ELEKTRON MCZ is a magnesium base casting alloy having excellent creep resistance up to 500 F. It is suitable for applications where pressure tightness is required, and has good resistance to corrosion. Its properties are generally similar to those of Elektron ZRE1. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as creep and fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Mg-14.
