RMI 6A1-6V-2Sn is an alpha-beta titanium alloy that provides a tensile strength of 150,000 psi in the mill-annealed condition in section sizes up to 2 inches. It offers good corrosion resistance in applications requiring high strength-to-weight ratios at temperatures up to 750 F. Among its uses are rocket engine cases and ordnance components. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and bend strength as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Ti-79. Producer or source: RMI Company.
