Abstract
ALUMINUM 6070 is a high-strength, heat-treatable extrusion alloy. It was developed for structural applications. It has high resistance to general corrosion and stress-corrosion cracking. Its many applications include marine hardware, electric-transmission towers and bridges. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Al-181. Producer or source: Various aluminum companies. Originally published November 1968, revised March 1980.
