Abstract

MUELLER Alloy 3406 (formerly MBCo. Alloy 314) is a medium-leaded brass alloy intended for screw-machine applications where excellent thread-rolling, knurling and cold-forming properties are required. It is characterized by an excellent combination of cold-working and free-machining properties. Among its many applications are valve stems, gears, rivets and threaded connectors. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-379. Producer or source: Mueller Brass Company.
